Interesting hacking stories

According to me a hacker is someone who find weak point in a system and breaks into system.A hacker is a creative person who hacks by fooling the human  created machine.Here are some interesting stories of hackers I hope you will enjoy it.

1.Kevin Mitnick:

  Every hacker is well known of him.According to his point of view social engineering is the biggest thing in hacking mean hacking the system by playing with human brain.He gained access to dozens of  computer networks while he was invisible because he used cloned cellular phone to hide his location.He copied  valuable proprietary software from some of country’s largest cellular telephone and computer companies

He was jailed for 8 months because it was believed that he could start nuclear war by whistling  into a pay phone meaning that law enforcement told the judge that he could somehow dial into NORAD modem via pay phone from prison  and communicate with modem by whistling to launch nuclear missiles.While taking computer class in prison he hacked security system of jail and he ran away.Kevin Mitnick is the world’s most famous hacker.

2.Sean Parker:

  When Parker was seven, his father taught him how to program.One night  while hacking into network of Fortune 500 he was unable to log out because his father unplugged his computer keyboard due to which his IP address was exposed he was tracked down by FBI.He is the one who co founded the  file sharing computer service Napster and served as the first president of the social network website Facebook.

3.Jonathan James

At the age of 15 he hacked NASA computer systems. For 21 days NASA computer systems were down.
 

4.Tim Loyd (OMEGA ENGINEERING)

 Tim Loyd was an   employee working  for 11 year at  omega engineering was fired. While leaving he launched a time bomb “deleting all software” that run all OMEGA’S manufacturing operations at its factory.So OMEGA  face a loss of $2 million in repairing the loss.

5. Lenovo 

It is half Chinese company.

-->It was caught red handed for selling laptops pre-installed with Super fish malware that open up doors for hackers

-->It analyze user’s internet history and inject third party advertising into website on browser

6. JP Morgan Chase

It is the largest bank in the nation, has financial information in its computer systems that goes beyond customers’ credit card details and potentially includes more sensitive data.Some hackers from Russia  did foot printing and checked which software or application  are used in this company then they found vulnerability and gained access of  7 million business accounts and 75 million account of household normal people.It is strange thing that they didn't steal any money after gaining access of accounts and it's a mystery that why they hacked

7.LinkedIn 

It is strange thing that their user's accounts were hacked and this company came to know about this after 4 years when they came to know that the account info was sold on dark web for $2300.

8.The hack of the century.

Sony pictures launched  a movie named "The Interview" In the story of the movie north Korea leader Kim Jong-un was killed in the end.When the leader came to know about this movie he don't liked it and hired some hackers which hacked Sony pictures websites , system and their employees personal details were gained .They also harm the data of the company.Next day when the employees opened their system they saw zombie faces and hacked messages on their desktop screens. The hacker also viral some movies which were not even released . Company gained huge loss because of this cyber attack.

9. Stuxnet (digital weapon)

A cyber attack was done on Iran nuclear plant.Basically a worm malware  was inserted in the pen drive of the employees of the company which was working with Iran nuclear plant program.Now as the worm has the characteristic to replicate itself so slowly it spread in the whole system and reached Iran main unit of nuclear plant and changed the scientific process of Uranium due to which it became so fast and  out of control and they gained loss a lot .

10. The largest ‪DDoS‬ attack in history on Anti-spam organization Spamhaus

This organization tracks spam and related cyber threats such as phishing, malware and botnets etc. They are re responsible for blocking the vast majority of spam and malware sent out on the Internet.

 Spamhaus data is today used by the majority of the Internet's ISPs, email service providers, corporations, universities, governments and military networks.

  A teenager of London did DDOS attack on that system which do the job of black listing spams and malware so due to attack service got hang and company gained loss.
